Sevenoaks School 11+ English Practice Papers and Preparation
Sevenoaks School 11+ English preparation
For the most accurate current-format practice, the distinction between newer and older Sevenoaks papers matters. The eight official papers published by Sevenoaks School for 2017–2024 use the more recent single-extract comprehension format. Earlier Sevenoaks papers that can still be found on other websites use the older two-extract comprehension format, so they are less representative for rehearsing the modern paper.
The English Entrance Press Sevenoaks practice papers are designed around the latest published model: one reading extract, a 15-mark reading section and 15-mark creative-writing section. By replicating the published mark allocation as well as the overall structure, the papers allow pupils to practise pacing more accurately and make particularly useful timed mocks.
Because the extracts and questions are original and unseen, pupils can build familiarity with the modern format without exhausting the eight official 2017–2024 papers too early.
Not sure how to combine official papers with fresh practice? Read our guide to the official Sevenoaks papers, the older two-extract format and what to use next.
